Bonus Terms Explained — Plain and Simple
Bonus jargon can be confusing. Here's a no-nonsense decoder of the most common terms you'll see at aaopen and other Philippine online casinos.
Wagering Requirement / Rollover
This is the number of times you must bet a bonus amount before you can withdraw. A "10x rollover" on a ₱1,000 bonus means you need to place a total of ₱10,000 in bets before cashing out. X15 means ₱15,000 in bets, X20 means ₱20,000.
Example: You claim a ₱500 bonus with a 20x rollover. You need to wager ₱500 × 20 = ₱10,000 total before any bonus-derived winnings can be withdrawn.
Maximum Bet During Bonus
Most casinos cap how much you can bet per spin or round while a bonus is active — typically between ₱250 and ₱500 per bet. Exceeding this limit can void your bonus entirely.
Example: Your bonus has a ₱300 max bet rule. Betting ₱500 a spin on Fortune Gems could get your bonus cancelled, even if you win big.
Game Contribution Rate
Not all games contribute equally to clearing a rollover. Slots usually count 100%, while table games like baccarat or blackjack may only count 10–20% of each bet toward the wagering requirement.
Example: If you bet ₱1,000 on baccarat with a 10% contribution rate, only ₱100 counts toward your rollover — not the full ₱1,000.
Bonus Expiry
Bonuses don't last forever. Common windows are 7, 14, or 30 days from activation. If you don't clear the rollover before expiry, the bonus (and any related winnings) will be removed from your account.
Example: A 7-day bonus claimed on a Monday disappears the following Sunday night, regardless of your progress.
Sticky vs Non-Sticky Bonus
A sticky bonus stays in your account as wagering balance but cannot be withdrawn — only winnings generated from it can be cashed out. A non-sticky bonus gets separated from your deposit and can be withdrawn independently once cleared.
Example: Sticky: You win ₱3,000 from a ₱500 sticky bonus — you can withdraw the ₱3,000 gain, but not the ₱500 bonus itself.
Maximum Cashout from Bonus
Some bonuses cap how much you can withdraw regardless of how much you win. A "max cashout of ₱5,000" means if you turned a ₱500 bonus into ₱25,000, you still only walk away with ₱5,000.
Example: Free spin bonus with max cashout ₱3,000 — anything above that is forfeited upon withdrawal.
Practical advice: Always read the Terms & Conditions before claiming any bonus. The wagering requirement, expiry date, and max cashout are the three numbers that matter most.
